If you’re looking to make your toy a household name, hopefully you ran into Concepts TV at the 2015 Toy Fair earlier this week…
From Saturday, February 14th through Tuesday, February 17th, the Toy Industry Association (TIA) sponsored the 112th annual North American International Toy Fair at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. This is the largest and most important toy show in the Western Hemisphere and Concepts TV was on the scene, looking for the next stars of its commercials. With over 150,000 products to choose from, the opportunities were endless!
“This was by far one of the best and most fun tradeshows I’ve ever been to,” said Kristy Pinand, VP of Sales and Marketing, Concepts TV. “As a DRTV creative shop looking for the next big ‘hit’ (and a mother of two), the possibilities were endless!”
To give you an idea of scale, the show was so large this year, it was the equivalent of more than seven football fields – all filled with brand new toys and games. Over 30,000 registered manufacturers, distributors, importers, sales agents, and buyers gathered together for the purpose of buying and selling, trend-spotting, networking, and more!
“Open-ended play seemed to be a new toy trend this year,” says Lauren Fahey, Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Concepts TV. “There were lots of toys and games that allowed kids to build, customize, and create. As much as I loved playing with the new toys, it was also cool seeing throwback products from when I was growing up.”
