Concepts Celebrates Christmas with Chuckles, Cheer and Charming Cuisine
Every year Concepts TV hosts a holiday party and every year the theme changes. This year was all about cheer. We laughed, we ate, we had to celebrate! With much to be thankful, 2014 represented health and happiness...
The festivities began with a holly jolly Secret Santa exchange at the office. Some gifts were nice; others a tad naughty (ahem, Collette!!!), but all were incredibly thoughtful showcasing the true spirit of gift-giving.
With warm hearts and even warmer hands (Cheron, I want those gloves!), we all ventured to the big city for the most outrageously delicious dinner at Del Frisco’s.
Seriously, it was one of the best meals of my life! Amazing appetizers and scrumptious sides were served family-style. Starting off with crab cakes in lobster sauce, shrimp cocktail, Caprese salad, and West Coast Oysters (Collette Stohler represent!), we fine-dined in this upscale establishment like there was no tomorrow. The lobster mac n cheese (to die!), potatoes au gratin, king crab gnocchi, sweet potato mash, and roasted asparagus accompanied our individual entrees, the awe-inspiring ambiance and the vivid views.
Getting back to those entrees, I ordered the Chef Trio with three pieces of perfectly cooked filet mignon served in three extraordinarily different ways. It was so fantastic, I ate every last bite. Yep, I’m disgusting and I don’t even care. It was that good!
( But Santa, mama could use some new pants right about now.)
The red wine was flowing (and perhaps a mojito or two for Mary Ann, aka Two Sip Susie) and so was the conversation. We really enjoyed one another’s company, sharing inside jokes and funny tales. We were laughing way before we hit the comedy scene.
Enter Caroline’s, the infamous comedy club that guarantees giggles and guffaws. It did not disappoint. We had a blast and quoted comics all the way home.
What a fun night and a fun group of people! Thank you, Collette for a wonderful holiday party and thank you, Cheron for your party planning expertise. Three cheers for good food, good friends and good laughs. Can’t wait to laugh together in 2015!
